About me
I studied Conservation and Resources for my undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley. I then went on to work for a range of organizations focused on social justice and systems change, before realizing that I craved orientating toward healing on a person-to-person level. It was then that I decided to pursue a path in psychotherapy.
I will complete my degree in Integral Counseling Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies in May 2025. I am currently in training in Gestalt Therapy at Church Street Counseling Center.
It is a gift to be allowed to witness your vulnerability and truth. Thank you for sharing yourself, exactly as you are.
I aim to be deeply present with my own process. That means owning what is mine so that I can be present with what is yours. I commit to remaining curious.
I am mixed race (Chinese and Russian Jewish), from a working-class background, and able-bodied (with some experience of chronic pain due to scoliosis). I grew up in northern California, and coastal forests feel like home. I love chocolate, books, my partner and corgi, Janelle Monae, and humor. For those that care: Leo sun, Sagittarius moon, Taurus rising.
Some of the big themes I have grappled with are grief and loss, workaholism and grind culture, hyper-responsibility and perfection, sexuality and gender, body image and scoliosis, spirituality and psychedelics, depression and anxiety, attachment, assault, traumatic stress, individualism and collectivism, monogamy and polyamory, trust and infidelity, and disconnection from creativity.
